Hajj pilgrimage of 75 people uncertain, agency chairman-MD’s ban on emigration

Hajj flights started last May 9. Around 24,000 pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia. But the Hajj journey of 75 passengers of an agency has become uncertain. In this situation, the Ministry of Religion has banned the departure of the Chairman of Dia International Tours and Travels Kamrul Islam and Managing Director Mohammad Ali Babu.

It is known that the owner of Dia International of Rangpur has taken three crore rupees of 75 passengers as the agency’s bank in their own name without coordinating with the ‘lead’ agency. As a result, there has been uncertainty about the pilgrimage of these pilgrims.

In view of this, the Ministry of Religion has sent a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs today seeking a ban on the emigration of the Chairman and Managing Director of the Hajj Agency. After receiving that letter, the Ministry of Home Affairs has written to all immigrations in the country banning them from leaving the country.

According to the letter of the Ministry of Religion, during the current Hajj season, the chairman of Diya International identified as Kamrul Islam and managing director identified as Mohammad Ali Babu registered 20 pilgrims under Al Iman Hajj Caravan Travels and Tours. But 20 pilgrims are yet to receive their PIDs as the registration fee has not been paid in favor of Al Iman Haj Caravan Travels and Tours. As a result, their going to Hajj this year has become uncertain. Measures should be taken to prevent Kamrul Islam and Mohammad Ali Babu from leaving the country to ensure their Hajj this season.
