The ACC has started an investigation into corruption allegations against Comilla City Corporation’s former mayor Tahsin Bahar Suchna and his father and former MP of Comilla-6 Constituency AKM Bahauddin Bahar.
ACC Deputy Director Akhtarul Islam confirmed to the media that an investigation has been started against them on Tuesday.
He said that apart from Bahar and his daughter, the investigation of various allegations of corruption has also been started against former Railway Minister Mujibul Haque.
Besides, he said that the ACC has also started an investigation against former LGRD minister’s former PS Kamal Hossain.
A case has already been filed against Bahauddin Bahar and his daughter Tahsin Bahar in connection with the death of a young man in Kotbari area of Comilla on August 4 during the anti-discrimination student movement. Another 400 unidentified people have been accused in the case.
