5 Bangladeshis detained while infiltrating India at Panchagarh border

BGB has arrested five Bangladeshi nationals on charges of trying to enter India at the Panchagarh border. They were arrested from Malkadanga border area of ​​Boda upazila of Panchagarh under Nilphamari 56 BGB on Monday night. 

The arrested persons are Nanda Kishore Roy (45), Parimal Roy (21), Nityanand Roy (21), Sanjay Chandra (17) and Kalyan Roy (24) of Domar area of ​​Nilphamari. The BGB gave this information in a press release at around 11 pm on Monday.

Nilphamari 56 BGB said that BGB is in a strong position to prevent illegal infiltration into the neighboring country India through the border area. Five Bangladeshi nationals were trying to cross into India illegally through Main Pillar 775 area of ​​the border on Monday night. BGB patrol team arrested them from Shuerpar area, 100 yards inside Bangladesh after getting information. According to BGB, the process of handing over the arrested persons to the Boda police station of the district is underway.

Nilphamari 56 BGB battalion captain Lt. Colonel Sheikh Mohammad Badruddoza said that five Bangladeshi citizens were detained during illegal entry into India on Monday night. Preliminary inquiries revealed that they tried to enter India illegally through a human trap. A case is being prepared against them for illegal entry through the border.
