In the first 5 days of October, remittances came in at $425 million

In the first five days of October in the fiscal year 2024-25, expatriate Bangladeshis sent around US$ 425 million in remittances.

In the same period last year, remittances came in at USD 325 million.

According to the data published by Bangladesh Bank, among these remittances, 123.04 million US dollars were sent through state-owned and specialized banks, 300.20 million US dollars came through private banks.

From July to October 5, expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $6,967 million in remittances, which was $5,232 million during the same period last year.
