Three BNP organizations to march towards Indian embassy

Three affiliate organizations of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) – Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal – will march towards the Indian Embassy to protest the attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala and the desecration of the Bangladesh national flag. After the march, they will submit a memorandum to the Indian High Commissioner.

This information was given in a press release signed by Chhatra Dal Central Office Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam on Saturday (December 7) evening.

The press release said that the protest march and memorandum submission program will start from 10 am on Sunday from in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan towards the Indian Embassy. Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party Central Executive Committee President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, Swechchhashevak Dal Central President SM Jilani and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Chhatra Dal Central Parliament President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir have instructed leaders and activists of all levels of Jubo Dal, Swechchhashevak Dal and Chhatra Dal to spontaneously attend the program on time.

Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna said, “We want the same kind of relationship with India that we need with neighboring countries. An attack on the Bangladesh High Commission in India means an attack on Bangladesh. We want those involved in this attack to be brought to justice. For that, we will march towards the Indian High Commission tomorrow. Later, we will hand over a memorandum to them.”

Chhatra Dal Central General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir said, “We will march towards the Indian Embassy at 10 am. Through this march, we will protest the attack on the High Commission in Agartala and the flag desecration, as well as the attack on the High Commission in Kolkata. I urge the leaders and activists to participate in the program peacefully.”
