This time, more than two hundred organizations, including the Hindutva Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), have announced a program to surround the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. They have said that the program will be held on December 10.

This information was reported in a report by the Indian media outlet The Indian Express on Friday (December 6).

The report said that Vikram Mishri is going to Dhaka on December 9 to attend the ‘Foreign Office Consultation’ (FOC) meeting on bilateral relations. A day later, on December 10, it has been reported that an organization called ‘Civil Society of Delhi’ will besiege the Bangladesh High Commission.

Although the program to surround the Bangladesh High Commission has been taken up under the banner of Delhi civil society, the initiative is mainly from the RSS. Rajnish Jindal, vice-president of media management of the Delhi unit of the RSS, announced the program at a press conference in Delhi on Friday. He said that this program of civil society will be held on December 10. That day is celebrated as International Human Rights Day.

Rajneesh alleged that the whole of India is outraged by the atrocities against all minorities, including Hindus, in Bangladesh. Representatives of more than 200 social, cultural and religious organizations of the country will participate in the program. They will submit a memorandum to the Bangladesh High Commission.

The memorandum will also be submitted to the United Nations, the United Nations Human Rights Commission, the World Health Organization, Amnesty International, and the Asian Development Bank. Each will be asked to take action to stop the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.

The announcement of this program will definitely cast a shadow over the visit of the Indian Foreign Secretary. According to a source in the Ministry of External Affairs, although Vikram Mishri’s visit to Dhaka is ‘structured’, the main objective of the visit is to normalize relations as well as ensure the interests of minorities and their security. Therefore, India will not want anything to happen that will make the situation muddy. It will spread tensions again.
