Students of Mohammadpur Residential School and College are protesting by blocking the Mirpur road of the capital, demanding admission based on merit.
According to the police, around 10:30 in the morning, when the students broke the gate and came down the road, there was a traffic jam on both sides of Mirpur Road.
Mohammadpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ali Iftekhar Hasan said that efforts are on to pacify the angry students.
Road blockade continues till writing this report at 11:30 pm.
Earlier, the students campaigned online in support of their demands and blocked roads at scheduled times.
