A member of the central working council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South, regarding the presentation of a journalist in an Indian media about adding Chittagong to India. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘No one will be allowed to occupy even an inch of land in Bangladesh, not Chittagong.
He said, ‘The dominance that India has spread in Bangladesh has been exhausted since August 5 through the student revolution. India will not get another chance to dominate Bangladesh. On August 5, the students of this country not only freed fascism but also eliminated the hegemony.
He said these things while addressing the chief negotiator at the Sudhi Rally organized by Barguna Forum at the Diploma Engineering Institute in the capital on Friday (November 15).
Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, ‘After Martyr Matiur Rahman Nizami announced that he would give a befitting reply if anyone tries to play tricks on the territory of Bangladesh, the Awami League, fueled by India, arrested the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami along with Martyr Maulana Nizami in a case of judicial murder. Because if the Jamaat leaders are alive, Bangladesh will not be allowed to become a part of India.’
He said, ‘Jamaat-e-Islami is not an organization based on individuals. Jamaat-e-Islami has many leaders to lead. When Awami League arrested one, it was not even a day late for another to take responsibility. As a result, Jamaat-e-Islami could not be destroyed. Those who make the movement for the eternal religion of Allah. No power in the world can destroy them, will not be able to.
He also said, ‘Those who develop for the country do not leave the power and run away from the country. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has developed more for her family and party than for the country. Sheikh Hasina herself publicly said, India will never forget what I have given to India. That is why Sheikh Hasina left the pardon and went to India. Those whom he asked to go to Pakistan, none of them went to Pakistan. But he left for India. Awami League’s political headquarters is in India. That is why they do and have done more welfare work in India than in Bangladesh. That is why the people have sent them to India.’
Mentioning that peace will not be established if the individual’s thinking is reformed. Masud said, ‘In order to establish peace, God’s laws must be reformed in the light of the Qur’an. Peace will come only by establishing an Islamic state. There is no peace in any doctrine except Islam, peace will not come. Therefore, he urged the countrymen to join the movement of Jamaat-e-Islami to establish an Islamic state.
It should be noted that Barguna Forum President Dr. Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and assistant secretary advocate Muayyam Hossain Helal was the chief guest in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Sultan Ahmed.
Apart from this, Barguna District Amir Maulana Mohibbullah Haroon and Barguna District President of the camp Suman Abdullah were special guests. Leaders of Barguna Forum spoke at this time.
