The ambassadors of 5 missions including Delhi have been ordered to return home

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed the ambassadors/high commissioners of Bangladesh posted in India, New York, Brussels, Australia and Portugal to leave their current duties and return to Dhaka.

This instruction was given in separate office orders of the Administration Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (October 1).

Those who have been asked to return to Dhaka, they are – High Commissioner Md. Mostafizur Rahman (Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi), Ambassador and Permanent Representative Mohammad Abdul Muhith (United Nations Permanent Mission of Bangladesh, New York), Ambassador Mahbub Hasan Saleh (Bangladesh Embassy, ​​Brussels), High Commissioner M. Allama Siddiqui (Canberra) and Ambassador Regina Ahmed (Bangladesh Embassy Lisbon).

A separate office order signed by the Director General (Administration) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Nazmul Haque, states that the decision has been taken to transfer you to Headquarters, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka. You are requested to relinquish your present duties and return to HQ Dhaka immediately.
