These forecasts have been given by the long-term forecasting expert committee of the Meteorological Department. Today, the committee meeting was held at the Dhaka Storm Warning Center of the Meteorological Department. The director of the department and the chairman of the expert committee were present at the meeting. Md. Chadekul Alam.

The month-long forecast also said that the Southwest Monsoon may withdraw from Bangladesh in phases during the first half of the month. Two to four days of moderate to severe thunderstorms may occur in northern and central parts of the country and three to five days of mild to moderate thunderstorms across the country. Day and night temperatures may gradually decrease; However, day and night temperatures will be slightly higher than normal.

According to the Department of Meteorology, normal flow may prevail in the main rivers of the country in the month of October. However, due to heavy rainfall, short-term flooding may occur in some parts of the northern, northeastern and southeastern hilly basins of the country
