In 17 days, remittances reached 143 million dollars

Remittance or expatriate income has increased in the country due to the trend of sending money through legal channels. This has also had a positive impact on foreign exchange reserves. In the first 17 days of this month, the expatriate income has reached USD 143 million.

This information was revealed on Thursday (19 September) by Bangladesh Bank sources.

It is known that in the first 17 days of September of this year, remittances came to the country of 143 million dollars. In the first 17 days of September last year, remittances came in at $84.2 million. As such, remittances increased by 588 million dollars or 69.83 percent during this period.

Again, from July 1st to September 17th of this year, remittances reached 5.56 billion dollars. From July 1 to September 17 of the previous year, remittances came in at $441.5 million. During this period remittance increased by 114 crore 5 million dollars or 25.93 percent.
