Germany has promised 600 million euros to Bangladesh for renewable energy. On Wednesday, the chief adviser of the interim government, Professor Dr. German Ambassador Akhim Troster made this promise in a meeting with Muhammad Yunus.
He said Germany has a long-standing relationship with Bangladesh and in recent years it has become one of the country’s largest development partners with over one billion euros. Germany has already offered 50 million euros in renewable energy support to Bangladesh.
Achim Troster said that Germany will lend 600 million euros over eight years for renewable energy. This is a special benefit. Because Bangladesh is one of the few countries that have received this assistance.
