Projects taken for political purposes will be reconsidered: Chief Adviser

Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said that projects taken for political purposes will be reconsidered. Now more attention should be paid to flood affected areas.

He said these things at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at the Chief Adviser’s office in Tejgaon on Wednesday.

This is the first Eknek meeting under the interim government. It was presided over by the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus.

In the meeting, the members of the advisory board agreed to take up small projects of public importance instead of mega projects.

The chief adviser said, ‘From now on, all information about the project will be open. Not only PD will know, everyone will know.’

Dr. Yunus said, it is necessary to think about the project taken for political purposes. Mega projects should also be scrapped. Must work impartially and independently. Work on project formulation and implementation.
