Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the last 17 and a half years were a dark night in the life of the people of Bangladesh. On October 28, 2006, on the orders of Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina, they killed hundreds of people by carrying out a sit-in across the country, including Paltan. Fascism originated there. The footsteps of dictatorship came from there.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest during the exchange of views and prayers with the families of the martyrs and injured in the anti-discrimination movement of students in Tangail on Monday afternoon, September 16. Tangail District Jamaat organized this event at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park in the city.

Amir Jamaat said that after coming to power on January 10, 2009, they have hurt the proud institution of the state, the army. Killed 54 vigilante military officers at BDR headquarters in Pilkhana. The trial of that murder is still not done. BDR, the independent watchdog of the border, has been destroyed.

Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 18 crore people of this country were oppressed. Every man was a victim of oppression. There was no trace of peace anywhere. If someone speaks a little against someone or expresses their grief, they are arrested and tortured under the digital law.

He also said that Awami League has hit Jamaat-e-Islami the most. There is no other oppressed organization like us. No one else has killed so many leaders. And nobody’s house was bulldozed. No one’s house was set on fire or looted. The honor of our veiled mothers and sisters has also been dragged. Allah has heard the cry of the oppressed.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that they were attacked on May 5, 2013 in a large gathering of Hefazat Islam. They were killed unjustly. In this way, the BNP was tortured, the leaders of the People’s Rights Council were also tortured. Common people have been tortured. Journalist friends have been killed. They were dragged to jail under the black law.

Addressing Sheikh Hasina, Ameer Jamaat said that she has done such politics and has taken the country on the road of development. He said that Bangladesh is a role model for development in the whole world. He made such a model and built such a highway, you could not drive through the highway. He did such politics, you had to leave the country.

He also said that Sheikh Hasina had divided the nation. Majority-Minority was called face to face. Thank you to the student society. Because the movement we started 15 and a half years ago; The students have drawn its conclusion. People of all religions participated in this movement. People of all religions were killed and injured. We do not want to make martyrs property of any party. These martyrs are national treasure. These martyrs deserve our respect. These martyrs are our national heroes forever. We want to see them in that respect.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, we have to maintain this unity against dictatorship at any cost which has come through unity. We all have to be vocal about the dictatorship against which we had a movement, so that another such dictatorship never returns to Bangladesh under any circumstances. If we are united then no one will be able to break the jackal on our head inshallah.
