Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘We have to maintain this unity against dictatorship at any cost that has come through unity. We all have to be vocal about the dictatorship against which we had a movement, so that another such dictatorship never returns to Bangladesh. If we are united, then no one will be able to break the jackal on our head, Inshallah.’
He said this in his speech as the chief guest during the exchange of views and prayers with the families of the martyrs and injured in the anti-discrimination student movement on Monday (September 16) afternoon.
Jamaat’s Tangail district branch organized the event at Shahid Smriti Municipal Park in the city.
