The top leaders of the 12-party alliance have warned that no conspiracy and threats will be tolerated against Bangladesh. Apologizing for the language used by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, they said, “India’s aggressive policy has created distance with all neighboring countries.”

The leaders said this at a protest rally organized by 12 parties in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday (September 10) to protest the ‘aggressive threat of Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh against the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh’. After the rally, the leaders took out a procession to the press club square.

Chairman of Jatiya Party Mustafa Jamal Haider said in the speech of the chief guest at the rally, “The current interim government has avoided the knee-jerk foreign policy of Awami League and adopted a new strong foreign policy. Thanks to them. I cannot accept unfriendly behavior from India. We think of them as friends. A turbulent situation has developed around Bangladesh. God knows what will happen to India if it doesn’t change its policy? Already 60 miles area of India has been occupied by foreign countries. We want peace in Bangladesh. I want to manage the country by keeping independence and sovereignty intact and keeping friendship with everyone. India should support the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh and bring back the ousted Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina.’

Chairman of Bangladesh National Team Syed Ehsanul Huda said, ‘We will not tolerate the statement given by the Defense Minister of India. India’s days of aggression are over. The freedom of Bangladesh was gained in exchange of blood. So manage your own house without looking at Bangladesh. In Manipur, however, the seven-color flag is flying. So be careful with Bangladesh.

He urged the interim government to be more strict and demanded exemplary action against murderers, corrupt people and terrorists. He commented that Bangladesh will be reformed in the future based on the 31 points announced by BNP.

Speakers in the rally said that no one in Pakistan-Nepal-Sri Lanka-Maldives-Afghanistan trusts India. Everyone is now fed up with India’s inconsiderate and negative behavior. Although Bangladesh was under control due to India’s puppet Sheikh Hasina government, the people of Bangladesh were angry at India’s oppression. India has become a more strongly hostile state to the people of Bangladesh after the murderous Hasina fled the country and took refuge in India through the popular uprising. The people of Bangladesh will never accept the aggressive attitude and authoritarian behavior of India.

They also said that India should abandon its aggressive policy and role and get used to fair and friendly behavior towards neighboring countries. To gain the trust of the people of Bangladesh, the border killings should be stopped, water sharing agreement should be done according to 54 identical rivers and the murderer Hasina and the fugitive criminals should be returned to Bangladesh. Trying to get the people of Bangladesh as friends by excluding Hasina and Awami League will bring India’s deviant foreign policy back to its logical orbit and that will be the best approach for India.
