Daksu former VP Nurul Haque Noor, president of the People’s Rights Council, said, considering the situation, the People’s Rights Council may field candidates for 300 seats in the next election. We have seen the governance and working methods of the old political parties. Any gourd is sweet. We don’t want things to stay the same. Thousands of people gave their lives in the movement. We want sustainable democracy.

He said these things in a street meeting organized by District Public Rights Council on Saturday night at Pacchar Gol Chatwar bus stand area of Shibchar, Madaripur. At that time, the party’s central, Madaripur and Shariatpur district leaders along with local leaders were present.

Nurul Haque Noor said that the past record of political parties is not very good. He who goes to Lanka becomes Ravana. We can see that one fascism is gone but another fascism is in the process of being created. In various places where Awami League, Chhatra League people used to take money, occupy and control, now some political party leaders and activists have started the same work.

Stating that conspiracies are being made from various places to destabilize the present government, he said that the Awami League government tried to make Bangladesh a puppet state of India. That’s why after coming to power, they killed the skilled and talented military officers of the country in the name of BDR rebellion. Killing of Islam carried out mass murder in Hefazte Islam meeting in Shapla square. Awami League government’s misadventure increased so much through these murders that later on in every democratic movement-struggle they attacked-cased and disappeared-murdered the leaders and activists of the opposition party and established a one-party rule.
