Early registration for Hajj begins today

Pre-registration from e-Hajj system (www.hajj.gov.bd), e-Hajj BD mobile app through government through all Union Digital Centers, Divisional and District Offices of Islamic Foundation, Baitul Mukarram Mosque and Hajj Offices in Ashkona, Dhaka And can do initial registration.

Hajj pilgrims by private means have to do preliminary registration by the authorized agency. Pre-registration certificate and passport will be required at the time of initial registration.

It is known that this year also 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people can perform the holy Hajj. The Saudi government has already announced this quota for Bangladesh.

The initial registration process will automatically close once this quota is reached. The pre-registration fee for both government and private channels is Tk 30 thousand.

According to the notification of the Ministry of Religion, any pre-registered or new pre-registered person can do initial registration by depositing three lakh taka. The balance of the Hajj package price must be paid within the time specified in the package.

This year’s Hajj package price will be announced subject to the cost of the Saudi phase and airfare. However, efforts will be made to reduce the general Hajj package price of 2025 compared to last year.

On the other hand, there will be a maximum of 6 seats in a room in a normal package house or hotel. But package upgradation facility will be available. Hajj agencies can send pilgrims with special package facilities. The list of agencies initially qualified to conduct Hajj activities is available at www.hajj.gov.bd. Besides, any information related to Hajj can be known by calling 16136.

People intending to go for Hajj through government should deposit money in favor of account number 0002633000908 as Cell Proceeds of Hajj Deposit of Sonali Bank PLC, Local Office Branch, Motijheel Dhaka. Initial registration money can be deposited through voucher at any branch of Sonali Bank. Hajj pilgrims through private means have to deposit the initial registration amount to the designated bank of the agency.

Pregnant women and disabled persons suffering from chronic diseases like cancer, advanced cardiac, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, infectious tuberculosis, dementia etc. are requested not to register for Hajj.
