Turkey’s relief aid came for the flood victims

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has stepped in to provide emergency assistance in response to severe floods in central, eastern and southeastern Bangladesh.

According to a press release in Dhaka on Friday (August 30), the Turkish state-run agency has given 500 relief packages to the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department of Bangladesh as part of humanitarian efforts.

Deputy Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense Chittagong Division Dinmoni Sharma received the relief material on behalf of Director General of Fire Service Brigadier General Md Main Uddin from Tikar Country Coordinator Sevki Mert Baris at Maijdi Fire Service Station on Wednesday.

Vaccination was established in 1992. Its journey to Bangladesh began in 2014 with the establishment of the Dhaka Program Coordination Office. This office oversees vaccination projects in the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

According to the information of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, 54 lakh 80 thousand 463 people have been affected by floods in 492 unions and municipalities of 68 upazilas of 11 districts.
