Both Salman and I were in favor of the movement: Anisul Haque

Former Law Minister Anisul Haque has sought justice from the court claiming to be innocent.


He said this at the remand hearing in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury’s court on Thursday (August 29) at 7 am.

Anisul Haque told the court that both of us (I and Salman F Rahman) were in favor of the quota reform movement. i am innocent I don’t know anything about the incident. I want justice from the court.

Salman F Rahman, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s private industry and investment advisor, former law minister Anisul Haque, former MP Sadek Khan and dismissed army officer Ziaul Ahsan were brought before the court after remand. The police applied for a 10-day remand for each.

Later, the court granted five days remand to Salman F Rahman and Anisul Haque in the case of the shooting death of Suman Sikdar in front of Badda Fuji Tower and five days to Sadek Khan and Ziaul Ahsan in the case of the murder of Garment worker Rubel in Adabar.
