Advisory council meeting is going on in Yamuna

Interim Government Chief Advisor Nobel Laureate Dr. The meeting of the Advisory Council (Cabinet) under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus is going on.


The advisory council meeting started at 11 am on Thursday (August 29) at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna. Before that, advisers were seen entering the Yamuna from 10 am.

It is said that the meeting will continue till 2.30 pm.

Meanwhile, on August 27, the offices of five advisers, including the head of the interim government, were redistributed. Among these, the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus has been given charge of six ministries or departments.

Earlier on August 16, the responsibilities of the eight advisers of the interim government were redistributed. Before that, on August 8, 14 advisers, including the chief adviser, took oath. The three advisors did not take oath that day as they were out of Dhaka and the country.

The next day on August 9, the Cabinet Department issued a notification apportioning the offices of the Chief Advisor and other advisors.

Later on August 11 adviser Supradeep Chakma and Bidhan Ranjan Roy took oath and on August 13 another adviser Farooq-e-Azam took oath.

Last Friday (August 16) afternoon four more advisers were sworn in. The new advisors are former secretary Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, former cabinet secretary Ali Imam Majumder, economist Wahiduddin Mahmud and former director general of Bangladesh Rifles Lt. General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam.
