The Meteorological Department said that gusty winds of 45 to 60 km per hour may blow in Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions.
This information was given in the forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Thursday (August 29).
According to the forecast, over these three regions of the country, rain or thundershowers may occur temporarily with gusty winds of 45 to 60 km per hour from the south-southeast direction. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Apart from this, the forecast for the next 24 hours has said that a low pressure may develop in the Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. It may develop into a maximum pronounced low pressure and move towards India.
As a result it will not affect Bangladesh. However, as a result of this low pressure of the sea, the temperature of the country will increase slightly, said the Meteorological Office.
