Jamaat camp has been guarding the houses and temples of Bogra Hindus for 2 weeks

In the ongoing situation of the country, the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir are guarding the houses and temples of Hindus in Sherpur of Bogra. For the past two weeks, apart from the municipal area, they have been keeping watch in different unions of the upazila every night.

On Friday (August 16) evening, the leaders of the party also exchanged views with the leaders of those temple committees. At this time the priests of the temple were assured. Besides, it is said that Jamaat-e-Islami is always on the side of people of different religions.

Besides, they also warned to deal with terrorists if they attack Hindu homes and temples. The Jamaat leaders stood by Sheikh Hasina in the face of the mass uprising of the students, after she resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left the country, fearing that temples or Hindu communities might be attacked.

Former Chairman of Sherpur Upazila Parishad and local upazila branch Jamaat Ameer Maulana Dabibur Rahman, Secretary Maulana Nazmul Haque, Jamaat leader Professor Abdullah Al Mostafiz Nasim and others spoke at the meeting held at Sri Sri Jagannath Temple premises.

Among the leaders of the Hindu community, Pradeep Kumar Kundu, leader of the temple committee, Balloy Karmakar, Rocky Ghosh, Ranjan Kundu, Sanad Kumar, Rocky Mohant and numerous devotees of the minority community were present in the meeting.
