The top leaders of the 12-party alliance said that the people of Bangladesh are standing up against hegemony, aggression and the killing of democracy. Border killings against unlimited aggression and exploitation of Bangladesh, 2.6 million illegal Indian jobs in the country, demanding fair share of water from 54 identical rivers, blatant interference in Bangladeshi politics, role as one-party rule perpetuates and turning the country into a tax state, boycott of Indian goods and red card to India’s authoritarian government The top leaders of the 12-party alliance called for the demonstration.
Leaders made this call while distributing leaflets under the leadership of Shahadat Hossain Selim, spokesperson of the 12-party alliance in the Zero Point area of Rajshahi metropolis on Sunday (June 2).
The leaders said, we are seeing in the world media and the media of the country that poisoning has been found in 527 products of India. The European Union has banned them. Recently, UK, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka have also confiscated Indian products. Two of their drugs have been found to contain anti-cancer ingredients. Singapore, Hong Kong have closed them. In the past 16 years, more than 1,200 innocent citizens have been shot dead like birds on the border. While Felani’s body hangs on the border, it seems like the whole of Bangladesh is hanging on the barbed wire fence today.
The leaders said, if you are a friend, if you are our neighbor, then why are there frequent shots at the border? So today the people of Bengal, the people of Bangladesh have started fighting for democracy.
The top leaders of the 12-party alliance also said that we are not against the people of India, we want to be India’s friend. But the friend who exploits us, the friend who does not give us our fair share of farakka, teesta, tipai, can he stop? Can never be friends. So we want to boycott Indian products and say, stop border killings, avoid aggressive policies, stop interfering in Bangladesh politics. Because you will have democracy in your country, and you will make sure that there is no democracy in my country, the people of Bengal will never accept it.
The leaders said, we do not accept aggression, we do not accept border killings, we will boycott Indian products. This social movement should be delivered door to door.
