Five people have died in the country in the last 24 hours since Friday morning (December 6) due to dengue fever transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. During this period, 562 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue.
This information was revealed in a press release from the Health and Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday (December 7).
According to the information received from the notification, 323 of the newly infected people have been admitted to various hospitals in Dhaka, and another 239 patients have been admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
So far this year, 522 people have died from the disease, of whom 48.3 percent are men and 51.7 percent are women.
According to the notification, a total of 95,632 people have been infected with dengue from January 1 to December 7 of this year. Of these, 63.2 percent are men and 36.8 percent are women.
