Traffic department of DMP has registered 2131 cases against traffic violators in various areas of the capital. A fine of Tk 77 lakh 65 thousand 500 has been collected in this regard.
On Wednesday afternoon, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP Media and Public Relations Department Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that the traffic department of DMP conducted raids on Tuesday and fined these cases. Apart from this, 240 cars were dumped and 68 cars wrecked in the operation.
The police officer said that the operation of the DMP’s traffic department will continue to maintain traffic order in the Dhaka metropolitan area.
