Central ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not come close to forming a government in the elections in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. However, the Hindutva party managed to capture Haryana.

Assembly elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370. After 10 years, the Congress-National Conference alliance is going to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir after winning the assembly elections. On the other hand, BJP is able to form the government alone in Haryana.

In the Jammu region, the BJP has single-handedly dominated, but the other parties have a foothold in the region. Even the BJP lost to the Aam Aadmi Party in Dodda constituency in south Jammu. And the National Conference and Congress alliance won exclusively in Kashmir.

Congress and National Conference in Kashmir hold 50 seats.

On the other hand, BJP won 48 seats in Haryana. Congress has captured 37 seats.
