Four more people have died due to dengue in the country. Another 1,225 people were infected with the virus and admitted to the hospital between 8 am and 24 hours on Saturday (October 5).
This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Sunday (October 6).
It said that among the new admissions in the hospital, there are 87 people in Barisal Division, 169 people in Chittagong Division, 281 people in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 244 people in Dhaka North City, 207 people in Dhaka South City, 111 people in Khulna Division. Besides, 47 new patients have been admitted in Rajshahi division, 19 in Mymensingh division, 53 in Rangpur division and 7 new patients in Sylhet division.
Meanwhile, 1,297 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last one day. 32 thousand 801 people got clearance this year.
According to the Department of Health, a total of 39,590 patients have been admitted to the hospital since January this year. 186 people have died of dengue so far this year. In addition, 321 thousand 179 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue last year. 1 thousand 705 people died.
