Popular Islamic negotiator of Bangladesh Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari has returned home from Malaysia. He himself gave this information through a post on his verified Facebook page.
On Wednesday (October 2) around 6:30 in the evening, Azhari wrote, ‘Alhamdulillah, I reached my dear motherland in Salama. Most Merciful bless this return. Duar offer.’
Earlier on July 6, he said on Facebook live, many people have messaged me and called me personally asking when I will return to the country. I want to tell them, I will return home soon. I myself am waiting to meet you. I would like to meet you soon in Bangladesh, a country free of humanity and equality.
In that long video message, he said, I respectfully remember the martyrs who made the movement successful through fresh blood and seek forgiveness for their souls. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Salute to those who are leading and still struggling in the anti-discrimination movement.
He urged everyone to be aware of the situation that has developed in the country after the successful movement. He said that victory can be properly celebrated only if one behaves responsibly.
He also urged not to do injustice to minorities. He said that now many people will take the opportunity to drive the minorities to sub-sacrifices and establishments and try to put the blame on the Islamists and madrassa students. So everyone should be alert to foil the conspiracy of those who are not happy with this victory.
He said to the Madrasa students in particular, you must ensure the safety of the minorities. Be careful and aware that no one can attack them. If we make mistakes in these areas, Islam in Bangladesh will fall far behind.
Bringing up the fall of the recently resigned dictatorial government, he said, in the pride of power, we forget our real condition and behave with people. But recent events have shown us that no tyranny lasts forever, so we must learn from these events. He said that those who will come to the new government should also remember this and learn. They should also avoid torture.
