According to meteorological agencies, the trend of very heavy rainfall (≥89 mm/24 hours) has decreased in Rangpur division and adjoining uplands. The water level of Teesta, Dharla and Dudhkumar rivers may increase till the next 24 hours and decrease in the next two days. In the next 24 hours, the Teesta river in Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram and Gaibandha districts may cross the flood limit and flood the respective grazing areas and some low-lying areas of the districts.
