Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that Jamaat-e-Islam has asked for two roadmaps from the interim government. One is for reforms, the roadmap should be specific about what will be reformed and how many days will be reformed. If this reform roadmap is successful, then the next election roadmap should be delivered without delay. But if the first does not succeed, then the second will also fail.

He said these things after visiting the slain army officer Tanjim Sarwar’s secluded village home in Tangail on Saturday night and condoling his family.

Jamaat Amir said, we do not want any failed election. We want a successful and a credible election. In that direction, we are demanding two roadmaps.

He also said that the gang involved in this incident got out on bail a month ago. Then they caused a huge accident. Many more have got bail from jail. The government should look into these.

Sheikh Hasina addressed Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said. He has left the country, many say he has run away, actually running away is not a good thing, I say he has left. After he left I hear sometimes that he will come in, I think he did well to leave because the people of the country don’t like him. Since the people of the country do not love it, I do not think it will be a wise thing to sit in power again by force.

He also said that if Sheikh Hasina is a criminal then she must be brought under punishment.

Jamaat Ameer spoke at length with the family of slain army man Tanjeem. During this time, his father Sarwar Jahan, mother Shahnaz Khan and sister Tasnubha Sarwar prayed with Suchi.
