The organization has confirmed that the head of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has been killed.

They confirmed this information in a statement on Saturday (September 28).

The statement said, ‘Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrullah has joined the organization’s great and immortal martyred comrades; Whom he has led for 30 years.’

The statement added, “We offer our condolences and best wishes to his fellow martyrs who traveled with him on this holy path in the attack of traitorous Zionists in Beirut.”

Hezbollah also said that despite the death of its main leader, it will continue its jihad against the enemy in defense of Lebanon in cooperation with Gaza and the Palestinians.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an attack in Beirut on Friday. However, Hezbollah did not comment on the matter at that time.

Yesterday afternoon, Israel launched a terrible air attack on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The target of the attack was Hezbollah’s headquarters. Hasan Nasrullah was there during the attack.

The IDF also said the attack targeted Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah’s southern front commander was also killed in that attack.

“The message here is very clear,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Harji Halevi said in a video message. We know how to find those who threaten Israeli citizens. Whether it’s north, south or further away, we’ll find it.’

The IDF said the attack came as senior Hezbollah leaders were meeting in south Beirut. This area in South Beirut is known as a Hezbollah stronghold.

The IDF wrote in their ‘X’ platform, Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to spread terror in the world.

Israeli forces have been continuously attacking various parts of Lebanon for the past several days.

Israel claims that it is attacking various targets to defeat the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to strike Hezbollah with ‘maximum force’.

Weeks before Israel began the full-scale attack, various wireless devices, including pagers and walkie-talkies, were detonated in Lebanon.

At least 37 people were killed and thousands injured when thousands of pagers and radio devices exploded in two separate incidents.

Hasan Nasrullah (64) was born in 1960. Grew up in the Burj Hammoud neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Beirut. Father Abdul Karim was a simple vegetable seller. Among his 9 children, Nasrullah was the eldest.

In 1975, Hassan Nasrullah joined the Shia movement ‘Amal’ when Lebanon was in the midst of a civil war. Later in 1982 he left the party along with some others. In 1985, Hizbollah announced its official establishment. Hasan Nasrullah joined it.

Nasrullah became the head of Hezbollah in 1992 at the age of 32. Earlier, his predecessor Abbas Al-Musabi was killed in an Israeli helicopter attack. Hassan Nasrullah’s first act after taking over as head of Hezbollah was to avenge Musabi’s murder. Accordingly, he ordered the rocket attack on the northern part of Israel.

Nasrallah also led his fighters to fight Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. At one stage in 2000, Israeli soldiers retreated from there and returned to the country. However, Nasrullah’s personal losses were not reduced. His eldest son Hadi had to die fighting with the Israeli army.

Hezbollah, led by Nasrullah, has provided training support to fighters of the Palestinian independence movement Hamas as well as militias in Iraq and Yemen. Hezbollah has a rich stockpile of missiles and rockets procured from Iran for use against Israel.

Hezbollah was first formed as a militia group to chase the Israeli army from the occupied Lebanese territory. Later, Nasrullah transformed this group into a force stronger than the Lebanese army. The organization is now a force exerting significant influence in the country’s politics as well.

Hezbollah-Israel tensions last escalated on October 8 last year. On that day, the country started an unprecedented rampage in Gaza due to the rocket attack of Hamas in the southern part of Israel. Hezbollah occasionally fires rockets into Israel and the occupied Golan Heights as part of a show of solidarity with the Palestinians.
