Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘Disparity has not been removed yet. A temporary relief has come. We will eliminate all minor discriminations, InshAllah. The August Revolution created our atmosphere of Hudaybiyah. No one could have imagined that this Bangladesh would change in just two months. Allah accepts those who fought to get chest for the last deen.’

He said these things while addressing the chief guest at Jamaat-e-Islami’s six-monthly Rukon conference of Pabna district at around 11 am on Saturday (September 28) at Pabna Edward College grounds.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘I congratulate those who oppose us. Jamaat practice is more and more due to their opposition. As a result, where we could not reach easily, they reach there.’

He said, ‘I request to Allah, Allah has at least reached this name (Jamaat), now let this name reach pure. There will not be a single house left in Pabna where we will not reach the call of Tawheed. All creations of Allah must be respected. I will consider people as people and call them to the path of Allah.’

District Jamaat Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mondal presided over and District Secretary Principal Hafez Maulana Iqbal Hussain gave a speech, Central Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Kushtia District Jamaat Amir Professor Maulana Abul Hashem, Sirajganj District Amir Principal Shahinur Alam, Natore District Amir Dr. Mir Nurul Islam and former Amir Abdur Rahim of Pabna district and others.

Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, Rukans are the main driving force of the organization. The success of the organization depends on the work-activity of the employees. In the light of Qur’an-Sunnah, the work of dawat should be continued in the society. We have to work to build a just society in the country on the example of the Prophet. People of all classes and professions of the society should be involved in this work.

After the Rukon conference, he will meet and exchange views with the families of martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement at Pabna Darul Aman Trust in Pabna. Later in the afternoon, Sudhi will address the gathering as the chief guest at the government Edward College grounds.
