700 killed in Israeli attack in Lebanon

 Israel rejects international call for ceasefire with Hezbollah The death toll from the country’s attacks in Lebanon has risen to 700 since Monday. Al Jazeera news.

Cross-border attacks between Israel and Lebanon have increased since the war in Gaza began in October last year.  

Hezbollah blames Israel for recent attacks in Lebanon using explosive devices. In the past few days, tensions have increased with the exchange of attacks between the two sides.  

The Health Ministry said on Friday that the death toll from Israel’s attacks in Lebanon since Monday has exceeded 700. 92 people have been killed in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, Hezbollah’s rockets and drones injured several people in Israel.  

The White House says US-led international calls for a cease-fire in Lebanon were “aligned” with Israel, although Israel has rejected the offer.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Washington will continue to support Israel. Tel Aviv has already secured a new $8.7 billion US military aid package.  

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered his country’s Defense Forces (IDF) to continue the offensive with full force.
