Aminul Islam Mukul, London:

A protest meeting was held in London demanding speedy justice for the disappearances and human rights violations of the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina and the fascist Awami League government. The protest was organised by the human rights organisation ‘Stand for Bangladesh’ on September 23, 2024, at a hall room in East London.

Speakers at the meeting said that the fugitive Sheikh Hasina, who committed genocide on anti-discrimination students and people during the movement for the fall of dictatorship, should be brought to Bangladesh and exemplary punishment should be ensured. Besides, all the ministers, MPs and administrative officials of the fascist Awami League should be arrested immediately and brought under the law. We have to find out with whose help Awami terrorists, corrupt and fascist accomplices involved in disappearances, murders and torture are fleeing the country. The speakers also said that the previous government had committed gross human rights violations by confining people to their homes in mirrors, taking away freedom of expression, and taking away voting rights. Their ordeal isn’t over yet. They are attacking BNP, Jamaat and the army at different places. Our movement will continue until a democratic government is established through free and fair elections in the country.
