The Israel-Hezbollah counter-attacks are intensifying. Both sides continue to carry out large-scale cross-border attacks.

Lebanon-based Hezbollah fired hundreds of rockets into Israel in retaliation for the recent attacks. Compared to the previous attacks, these rockets were able to hit much of Israel. There are reports of damage to houses and injuries.

Israel, meanwhile, has carried out airstrikes on targets in southern Lebanon and says it has destroyed thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers.

Israel has ordered all schools in the northern part of the country to remain closed until Monday evening. Hospitals in northern Israel have been ordered to operate only in safe areas. The beach will also be closed to the public.

Last week, 37 people were killed and thousands injured in a large-scale explosion of pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon. The southern part of Lebanon was also attacked by Israel near the capital Beirut.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said they killed 16 Hezbollah members, including 12 senior Hezbollah commanders.

Many analysts believe that Israel did this deliberately to provoke Hezbollah, and since the war in Gaza, they are now turning their attention to Lebanon.

The United Nations has warned that the region is on the brink of imminent disaster as fears of all-out war grow.
