All government officials and employees will have to give an account of their assets by November 30. However, from next year onwards, every year’s asset account must be given by 31st December.
On Sunday (September 22), the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration said in a press conference about the submission of property accounts of government employees. Mokhles ur Rahman informed this information.
He also said that this account should be submitted to the concerned authorities in a sealed envelope. Any wrong information will be penalized as per 1979 Rules. It will be applicable to all government employees.
The secretary said that the right to information law will not be applicable in this case as the details of assets are top secret.
