BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the new interim government has also said that Awami League has done some things very badly, like people did not have the right to vote, no one could vote. Corruption everywhere, factionalism, prosecutions, jails and oppression, time must be given to fix those things. It is not possible to fix everything overnight. So we want to give that time to the government. They are impartial, we should cooperate with them.
He said these things during the public meeting organized by Haripur Upazila BNP at Haripur Eidgah Maidan in Thakurgaon on Wednesday (September 18) afternoon.
Referring to the long-standing relationship with the people of Haripur, he said, once there were few people of BNP in these areas. There are several people, through whom BNP is gradually getting stronger. I thank those who are currently on the committee, and those who have been there before, in spite of many atrocities. The tyrannical fascist Awami League government has tortured us for 16 years. False cases were filed in the name of many people of this area. That situation has ended.
Fakhrul said that Hasina had become a great leader. Today we had to flee the country after being defeated. Forced to flee the country due to student movement. But before he left, lakhs of people were coming to Ganobhaban. At that time, he hastily fled to neighboring India by helicopter. There is a saying about this, don’t transgress the limits, if you transgress the limits, Allah Ta’ala does not forgive. Allah makes whomever He wants MP, Minister, Emperor, President, and Fakir at any time. Today we see that Sheikh Hasina is in a very pathetic condition after going to India. Those who ruled you with power, oppressed, took land, business, did not allow anyone to do anything. Today they went inside the jail. Many cases have been filed against our Thakurgaon boys and they have been kept in jail, but no one has left the path of truth. They escaped on the 5th. What lessons do we learn from this; That nothing happens outside of Allah’s command. Now the mirror is out. Earlier, BNP, Jamaat, students were detained and tortured in that hall. And also many of them are not available till now. By God’s infinite mercy, the fascist, murderous government has fallen as a result of the movement of the students. Scores of students were maimed, many killed. Let us be free today. However, if we want to protect this freedom, we will not have to be like Awami League. Everyone should work for the people. Leaders and workers are requested not to engage in any kind of wrongdoing. We all have the responsibility to protect the people of the Hindu community. Let us all make the country beautiful together. Country leader Bagam Khaleda Zia has done a lot for the country, she is sick. We pray for his recovery, may God heal him and bring him back to us.
