The police have arrested Shahriar Kabir, the president of the advisory board of the Khatak-Dalal Nirmul Committee of 1971. He was arrested from Banani’s house in the capital on Monday night.

Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mubarak Hossain confirmed the arrest and said that he was arrested in the case against Shahriar Kabir. He will be produced in court on Tuesday.

Shahriar Kabir’s name is on the list of accused in the application made to the investigative body of the International Criminal Tribunal in connection with the mass killing and disappearance of bodies in Shapla Chattar of the capital in 2013.
