Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Amir Salim Uddin of Dhaka Metropolitan North said that the hatred created in the hearts of the people of this country against the fallen dictators will not go away even in the next 100 years.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a road meeting organized by Sonagazi Upazila Jamaat of Feni on Thursday (September 12) afternoon.

He said, due to their looting, corruption, torture, disappearance, murder, mirroring, usurpation and extortion, they have not only been ousted, but have also been expelled. Therefore, to make the victory meaningful, everyone, regardless of party affiliation, must work together.

Upazila Amir Maulana Mohammad Mostafa presided over the meeting as a special guest. Fenir District Amir and Central Majlis Shura Member AKM Shamchuddin, Dhaka Metropolitan North Assistant Secretary Daganbhuan’s daughter-in-law Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, District Secretary Maulana Abdul Hannan. District Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdur Rahim, District Working Council Member Professor Habibullah Bahar, District Working Council Member and HRD President Abu Bakar Siddique Manik and District Working Council Member Engineer Fakhruddin etc. also spoke.

Salim Uddin said that the current government should give time to clean up the mess of their misdeeds. He said to those who are heating the ground with various demands to destabilize the country, this government has not come to fulfill the demands. They will leave the country as soon as possible after making necessary reforms. Then you will enter the field with all your demands.

He expressed deep concern over the flood situation in Feni district and said that the Indian government has conspired to drown the people of some districts including Feni by releasing the upstream water without regard to international laws. As a result, large areas were flooded and huge losses were caused.

He urged the current advisory government to file a complaint against India’s water encroachment in the International Court of Justice. He demanded immediate reconstruction of Muchapur sluice gate to save Sonagaji residents from floods.

He said, Islam is a religion of compassion and human welfare. Islam teaches to move forward with the help of others. Jamayat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir have been with the flood victims since the beginning of the flood and will remain so until the end, inshallah. Now on one hand the cleaning campaign is going on, on the other hand the free medical camp is going on to cure the plague of post-flood diseases. At the same time, roads affected by severe floods need to be repaired on a voluntary basis. It is not a mercy or grace but it is our religious and human duty.

He also said that the defeated forces are continuing a multifaceted conspiracy to destroy the revolution achieved in the anti-discrimination student movement. That inactivity should be stopped unitedly. No corruptor, extortionist and terrorist can thwart this victory.

He said that the previous dictatorial government brought the country to the brink of destruction through corruption and looting. Fascism squeezed the people by its misrule. The festival of missing murders is going on. Destroyed every constitutional institution.
He made a noble call to choose honest, skilled and God-fearing leadership as people’s representatives to change the fate of the people of Feni in the coming days.
