 Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, those who are being caught now are saying that I did not do it by myself, I did it on the order of so and so. And when he was in power, it was always said – the tree is swaying this way, the leaves of the tree are moving that way, the honorable Prime Minister (Sheikh Hasina) is watching. Everything needs his permission, his guidance. Addressing Sheikh Hasina, he said, then your people made you mastermind and godmother, we did not.

He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the meeting with the family members of the martyrs in the anti-discrimination student movement organized by the Kushtia District Jamaat yesterday at 9 am. At this time, 15 martyrs of Kushtia district exchanged views with the family members and donated Rs 2 lakh cash to each family. Shafiqur Rahman.

Addressing Sheikh Hasina, he further said, “You said, ‘Bangladesh is a role model for development.’ If your words were true, then after 15 years you would not have to flee the country like this.”

District Jamaat Ameer Prof. Abul Hashem presided over and District Secretary Prof. Suja Uddin Joardar conducted the program in the chief guest’s speech. Shafiqur Rahman said that in the future, everyone should be vigilant so that no one can impose a dictatorial system on the people of this country again. Who will go to power and who will not go will be decided by Allah Rabbul Alamin.

Dr. Ameer Jamaat. Shafiqur Rahman said that the interim government has many responsibilities. They got a ruined country from the hands of Awami bakshalis. The interim government needs reasonable time to reform all the country’s democratic institutions and election commission. The people of the country are ready to give this time.

He also said that there is no such thing as justice and fairness in the society for a long time. People of the country are deprived of their due rights. The rights of all irrespective of caste, religion and caste must be ensured. Jamaat will make every effort to establish justice in the society.

Recalling the sacrifice of the students, he said that hundreds of people lost their lives in the mass revolution of the students. Many people were injured. Many have suffered blindness. These brave fighters are our deposit. So we have to collectively stand by them in any problem. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the recent agitation and condoled with the injured and congratulated the victors.

He also said, this country belongs to all of us. We will build a beautiful country on the basis of equal civil rights for people of all religions and races.

Special Guest Central Executive Member and Jessore-Kushtia Region Director Mubarak Hossain said that Jamaat-e-Islami is meeting with all the families of the martyrs and the injured and is trying to share their happiness and sorrow. Jamaat has also announced to take necessary responsibilities including their medical assistance.

Regional Team Member Khandkar AKM Ali Mohsin, Dr. Alamgir Biswas, Abdul Mateen, Shura members in the central council, Professor Farhad Hossain and Shahjahan Ali Mollah, District Naib Ameer Abdul Gafur, district student camp leaders and other district leaders of the local Jamaat. At the end of the program, Ameer answered various questions from journalists of Jamaat TV and media. 

Pathasabha at Rajbari: The peace that has come as a result of sixteen long years of struggle, let us pray to Allah Almighty to make this peace eternal. One thing to remember is that to get eternal peace, you have to follow the path of eternal peace. It is the path of the Quran given by Allah, the path of the prophet of Rasul Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam, the path of the deposit left by the Companions Radiyallahu Anhur, the path of the Khulafay Rashedin, we have to move on this path, this is the path Bangladesh will advance inshaAllah. In this way, the people will really get peace, everyone will get peace, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, people will get peace. We are continuing to fight and struggle to establish that peace. Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said these words in a road meeting at Daulatdia Ferighat bus terminal of Rajbari district on his way back to Dhaka from Kushtia on Sunday. Jamaat-e-Islami executive council member Md Mubarak Hossain, Faridpur District Ameer Mohammad Badr Uddin and Rajbari District Secretary Muhammad Alimuzjan and other leaders were also present in the road meeting. 

Ameer Jamaat also said, pray that the nation does not fall into this trouble again after the end of the dictatorship, so we all have to play the role of watchmen. This country will be in the field of all of us, our struggle will continue until justice is established, inshallah.
