Former Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Arif Khan Joy has been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). This information was given in a short message sent by the public relations wing of DMP.
According to DMP’s message, Arif Khan Joy was arrested from Dhanmondi area of the capital on Monday night. He was arrested in a murder case at Mohammadpur police station.
Arif Khan Joy was elected Member of National Parliament on Awami League ticket from Netrakona-2 constituency in 2014. After that, the former captain of the national football team got the responsibility of Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ministry. After serving this duty for four years, he was not nominated by Awami League in the 2018 election.
