Stating that the conspiracies of the defeated evil forces have not stopped yet, Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman said that well-planned conspiracies are underway to thwart the success and purpose of the historic popular uprising.
Urging everyone to be careful in this regard, Tariq Rahman said, ‘Humble appeal to the pro-Bangladesh forces, to the democratic forces, do not fall into the trap of defeated evil forces. If the mass uprising of the students is to be a final success, no one will engage in occupation, no one will help in occupation, no one will attack the weak. No one will take the law into their own hands. Revenge – not revenge, let’s all show more responsibility in building a democratic state without discrimination.
Tariq Rahman said these things in a video message from UK on Tuesday morning. Tariq Rahman urged the country’s media to fearlessly write the words that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ‘escaped’. He said, ‘Genocide Sheikh Hasina took away the freedom of the press. Hasina, who took away the freedom of the press, has fled. Expectation of the people, you will fearlessly write the words “Hasina Paheche”. Instead, if a media takes the trick of using different words, it will question your freedom of conscience to the public.’
Tariq Rahman requested the journalists to report on disappearances, murders, abductions and ‘mirror’ in the last 15 years. He said, ‘Call to you, those who have disappeared, murdered and abducted in the last 15 years, those who have been martyred and injured in the revolution of the students, broadcast a special program on the suffering of them and their families. Raise the question why the investigation of journalist couple Sagar-Rooney’s murder case has not ended even in an era. People want to see the research report on mirror house from you. Hasina turned the country into a state of robbers, people want to see those images of corruption in the newspapers.’
Acting Chairman of BNP commented that in order to consolidate the spirit and goal of mass uprising, it is necessary to ensure political and economic empowerment of the people in addition to facing the law. He said that the main tool of political empowerment of the people is to ensure the right of every citizen to vote. He also called for a special program showing how the mass murderer Sheikh Hasina robbed the people’s votes every time.
Tariq Rahman said that if the misdeeds of Sheikh Hasina are framed in the media, no one else will dare to indulge in vote robbery and massacre like Hasina, which will strengthen the foundation of democracy and force the rulers to refrain from autocratic behavior.
The Acting Chairman of BNP said that the way to end the 15 years of fascist rule has been opened through the escape of Hasina. So now is the time to build a safe and humane Bangladesh and establish an accountable democracy to fulfill the people’s expectations in the country.
Tariq Rahman felt that it is necessary to consider the fact that August 5, the day of the fall of fascism, should be celebrated every year as a special day of national life.
