Secretary General of Islami Chhatrashibir Zahidul Islam said, ‘The victory we achieved in exchange for the blood of hundreds of martyrs is not the final victory. One should not forget one’s duties in the joy of this victory. We have to play a more responsible role.’
He said this in his speech as the chief guest at the responsible gathering organized by Comilla Metropolitan Branch of Islami Chhatra Shibir today (August 18).

Zahidul Islam said, ‘We have only crossed the first few stages of many stages of success. Through the ages pharaohs returned again and again under different names. There is no guarantee that the pharaoh named Hasina who has been defeated will not appear again under a new name or dress. So let’s not forget our duty in the joy of temporary victory. We have to go our way by calculating time, environment and situation. It requires knowledge, wisdom, prudence and hardworking mentality. We have to make the most of the immense opportunity created by the fall of the dictatorship.’
He also said, ‘The student community should be included under the shadow of Islam through broad-based invitational work. They have to win the heart of every student with their characteristic sweetness. After all, we have to ensure our future success by playing a role with all our talents, abilities and skills in the implementation of our main goal. May Almighty Allah grant us Tawfiq to reach the final victory through our right intentions and efforts. Amen.’
