Miscreants hacked local youth leader Said Ahmed to death in Demra of the capital. He died on Friday around 12:30 pm.
Syed Ahmed’s body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College morgue for post-mortem.

The deceased Saeed Ahmed was the convenor of Ward No. 67 Youth Dal.
According to Saeed Ahmed’s uncle Apel Mahmud, his nephew Saeed was returning to his home in Demra’s Oriental School Mor area yesterday evening after a Juba Dal program. On the way, 20-25 people including Anwar, Akbar, Roni, Salam of the local Chhatra League and Jubo League attacked Said. At that time, they cut him with sharp weapons and left him.
Apple Mahmud said that when Saeed was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at midnight, the doctor declared him dead. Appel also said that after the fall of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government on August 5 in the face of student-people’s movement, he took out a joyous procession in Said area.
Juba Dal leader Saeed was a businessman by profession and a resident of Tengra area outside Demra. His father’s name is Sekender.
