An exchange meeting with the members of the Board of Trustees of Manarat International University was held on Saturday (August 10, 2024) in the seminar hall of Ashulia Campus of the University. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, former Secretary Muhammad Fazlur Rahman presided over it.
Among other members of the Board of Trustees, former secretary Muhammad Ismail Hossain, former professor of Dhaka University ATM Fazlul Haque, professor Dr. Mozammel Haque, Enamul Haque Chowdhury FCA, former VC professor of Manarat International University. M. Umar Ali, Senior Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, Engineer Abul Bashar.
Besides, the principal of Manarat Dhaka International School and College Brigadier General S. M. Mahbub-ul-Alam, Secretary of Manarat Trust Former Joint-Secretary Md. Shah Alam Bakshi.
At the beginning of the program, prayers were prayed for the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement. Trust member and former professor of Dhaka University ATM Fazlul Haque led the prayer.
President of the program Manarat International University Trust Chairman Muhammad Fazlur Rahman sought forgiveness for the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement and the recovery of the injured and urged the teachers and officials of the university to work sincerely to make Manarat International University the best university in the country.
Mentioning that the members of the board of trustees of this university are trying to make Manarat International University the best university in the country by overcoming all kinds of crises, he announced that the current problems of the university will be identified and solved on a priority basis.
He urged the teachers to ensure quality education by holding the motto of the university, ‘A Center of Academic and Moral Excellence’ and said, We want to build the students of Manarat University in such a way that people can understand that they are our students.
Referring to the fact that Manarat International University was established with the aim of educating students with moral values, former secretary Muhammad Ismail Hossain, member of the Board of Trustees, called upon the teachers and officials to fulfill their responsibilities smoothly.
Professor Dr. urged the teachers to forget all the divisions and move Manarat University forward. M. Umar Ali said, Almighty Allah has returned this institution to us again. Therefore, everyone should make a united effort to implement the mission vision with which this institution was established.
Professor Dr. Mozammel Haque said that the teachers and officials should forget all the dilemmas and work together for the development of the university. He said that all the members of the Board of Trustees are also trying to fulfill their duties.
Referring to Manarat International University Trust as a registered trust, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand said that no authority has any authority to cancel a registered institution. Those who came here came illegally. This university is free from illegal encroachment. Now according to the law, Manarat International University Trust has taken over the ownership of the university.
Enamul Haque Chowdhury said, in order to speed up the development of this university, the land here was bought by us, its buildings were made by us. We have many plans for the development of this institution. We will now work accordingly, inshallah.
