BNP National Executive Committee Organizing Secretary (Barisal Division) Advocate Bilkis Jahan Shirin’s party post has been suspended.
This information was informed in a press release signed by senior joint secretary general of the party, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
According to the press release, the political and organizational activities of Advocate Bilkis Jahan Shirin as Organizing Secretary (Barisal Division) of BNP National Executive Committee will be suspended until further orders.
Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the face of the student movement and fled the country. Anarchy ensued. Since August 5, BNP has expelled more than 40 BNP-Student Dal-Yubadal and Sramik Dal leaders from the party and organizations across the country. Besides, several leaders and activists were given show cause notices.
