Saida Muna Tasneem, High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed to the United Kingdom, has expressed her loyalty to the interim government to be formed in the near future.

He said they are awaiting formal instructions from the interim government as there is a protocol to be followed in diplomatic matters.

Paying deep respect to those killed in the student movement since July 16, Saida Muna sought forgiveness for the souls of those killed and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.

At this time, he expressed solidarity with the anti-discrimination student movement and expressed the hope of building a justice-based country inspired by the movement of the new generation.

Saida Muna said these things when Shamsul Alam Liton, editor of the popular weekly Surma, and eminent lawyer went to pay a courtesy call on him at the High Commission in London.

Liton has worked tirelessly to protect democracy and human rights in Bangladesh for the past 17 years.

Sharing the video of Liton’s work, Iqbal Ferdous said, he had the privilege of working closely with Liton, an incredibly talented, humane and dedicated person, for about 7-8 years.
