The protesting students of Dhaka University refused the request to return to the hall.
Monday (July 15) around 7:50 PM Dr. Provost in front of Muhammad Shahidullah Hall. Mohammad Javed Hossain gave such requests and instructions. Later, the students were seen chanting slogans of ‘Dalal Dalal’ ‘Bhua Bhua’ after rejecting the instructions and requests.
On the other hand, around 8:30 p.m. Dr. Proctor Professor of Dhaka University came in front of Muhammad Shahidullah Hall. Md. Maksudur Rahman.
He said, we don’t have everything. If we had the chance, we would have removed the outsiders earlier. Now we will make arrangements to get outsiders inside the hall through the hall provost and house tutors. It is becoming difficult to weed out outsiders before they enter the student halls.
On the ground, it can be seen that several hundred policemen are stationed with an armored personnel carrier (APC) about 30 yards away from the protesting students. Earlier, they took the BCL activists from the hall gate through the barricade towards Doel Chatwar.
