Two people, including a child, were killed in a landslide in Cox’s Bazar due to heavy rain.
The incident took place in Sikdar Para and Palang Kata areas of Cox’s Bazar city early on Thursday.
The deceased are Hasan (10) of Sikdar Para area of Cox’s Bazar and Noor Jahan (27) of Palang Kata area.
Resident Officer of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital Doctor Ashikur Rahman said two people were killed in a landslide due to heavy rain in Cox’s Bazar. Among them is a child and a woman. Their bodies have been kept in the morgue.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Rokibuzzaman said that two people have died due to landslides in several areas of the city in Cox’s Bazar.
